Pick-ups start from 5pm till 6pm from your Rotorua accommodation.



Cancellation policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: If cancellation is made within 7 days of the booking, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged. If cancellation is made within 48 hours of the booking, 75% of the total booking amount will be charged, and if cancellation is made within 24 hours of the booking 100% of the total booking will be charged.

In addition to the charges levied by Tamaki Maori Village, New Zealand Hotel Link will charge a handling fee of 10% of the value of the booking with a minimum charge of $20 and a maximum of $50.

Here at the Tamaki Maori Village you get the opportunity to experience the traditional world of Maori in a genuine Maori Village, located in a 200 year old Tawa Forest setting. Be involved in a traditional Powhiri (an ancient ceremony of welcome), then enter the Pre-European village nestled within the ancient Tawa forest - see the bonfires blazing and witness time honoured crafts and past-times of the Ngati Tama people. In the heart of the Village, enter a Marae (Meeting House) and witness a powerful Cultural performance. Then it's kai (food) time, Indulge yourself with a traditional Maori Hangi, a mouth watering feast, cooked beneath the earth on hot rocks. A HANGI is like a roast dinner but cooked by steam in the ground.
