Whakarewarewa Thermal Village Tours

Duration: 1.5 hour(s) - Location: Rotorua

Set in a landscape of erupting geothermal activity Whakarewarewa is a true living Maori village with 25 living families occupying the thermal village full time to this day. Join a guided tour around the village and take in what mother nature  has made, discover how the families still cook in the mineral pools and enjoy a Hangi meal for lunch, then top it off with a world famous Whakarewarewa steam pudding for desert. Take in one of two daily Maori Cultural Performances here and be entertained through song and dance as the performers melodious voices and hand movements tell the stories of their heritage, past and present.
